BETHLEHEM, PA (04/05/2018) Art that expresses social, historical, and political issues in American culture is on display at Northampton Community College's Monroe Campus until May 18. The exhibition presents the work of artists from the following Monroe County Arts organizations: Pocono Arts Council, Pocono Mountain Arts Council, Pocono Mountains Art Group, Pocono Painters, Pocono Photo Club, and Pocono Watercolor Associates.

"The American Identity" panel discussion will be held on Wednesday, April 11, from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. in Keystone Hall.

Panel members include:
Diane Fischer, Ph.D., associate professor of art history at Muhlenberg and Cedar Crest colleges
Melissa Geiger, Ph.D., associate professor of art history, East Stroudsburg University
Ricardo Viera, MFA, profess of art and director/curator of Lehigh University Art Galleries.

The discussion will be moderated by Thomas Shillea, MFA, director of art programs, Northampton Community College.

"The American Identity" exhibit is on display at the Dunning Art Gallery in Keystone Hall, 2411 Route 715, Tannersville. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. -9p.m; Friday - 7a.m. - 6p.m.; Saturday - 8a.m. -6p.m. The gallery is closed on Sunday.
