The College of New Rochelle Appoints Rosa Kittrell Barksdale to Board of Trustees

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (08/22/2011)(readMedia)-- The College of New Rochelle (CNR) has announced the appointment of Rosa Kittrell Barksdale of New Rochelle, NY to the Board of Trustees. She will serve a three-year term.
Rosa Kittrell Barksdale is the owner of Barksdale Home Care Services, Corp., the first Licensed Home Care Agency owned and operated by an African American woman to contract with the N.Y.S. Department of Social Services to provide Medicaid home care services. Today, Barksdale Home Care Services, Corp. is one of the largest agencies of its kind in Westchester. It is also the largest minority employer in Westchester County. Ms. Barksdale has had extensive experience in nursing and health care as a nurse and a drug abuse and health teacher for New York City Board of Education. She was also the top sales representative for Abbott Laboratories where she developed her territory from $800,000 to over $8 million in sales in a two-year period. She holds a B.A. degree from The College of New Rochelle.
