NEW ROCHELLE, NY (10/10/2011)(readMedia)-- Meghan King from Clarkstown High School in New City, New York, now a freshman at The College of New Rochelle, was named both Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) volleyball Player of the Week and the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Association's (HVWAC) Rookie of the Week. According to the women's athletic association, "Megan King has had the best week of her young career accumulating 16 kills, seven digs, three assists, three aces and a block during a 2-0 week for the Blue Angels."

The College of New Rochelle Volleyball team won the 2010 Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) and is a NCAA III Independent team.

The Blue Angels are coached by Georgia Efthalitsides. Their season begins in early September and concludes with the Conference tournament at the end of October.
