The play follows art historian Heidi Holland from a high school dance in 1965 to a lecture in 1989 at Columbia University. The play, by Wendy Wasserstein, raises questions about women and men in the Women's Liberation Movement era, which informed their relationships and influenced their choices. "The Heidi Chronicles" has won numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize, the Tony Award and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award.
