KERRVILLE, TX (09/10/2013)(readMedia)-- Kevon (Keeno) Morrow, a sophomore at Schreiner University and Dallas native has been awarded the 2013-14 UPS Scholarship for $2,400, sponsored through the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas Foundation. Morrow was one of 211 Schreiner students who competed for the award the second week of school by writing an essay titled "What do I have in common with UPS?"
He will graduate in May 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science/Pre-Law. After graduating, he hopes to join the Army and become a member of the JAG (judge advocate general) office. Morrow states he wants to "serve our country" like UPS does.
The ICUT Foundation is a 510(c) (3) charitable organization operated by the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas, a statewide association for private colleges and universities. ICUT Foundation is an affiliate of the Council of Independent Colleges. Since 1985, The UPS Foundation has funded more than $2.1million in scholarships for Texas students.
