The Linda -- WAMC's Performing Arts Studio -- Launches New Website
ALBANY, NY (12/21/2010)(readMedia)-- Thanks to the vision of its creator, WAMC President, Alan Chartock, The Linda, WAMC'S Performing Arts Studio, has a new and improved face, with the launch of a newly designed website. In addition to its contemporary new look, the site now offers more detailed information on all upcoming performances with sample video, audio, reviews and comments. There is an easy access button for each event, directing viewers straight to ticket purchase options.
"It was time to stand out a little bit and make a statement while being sure we provided more information, more clips, and easy access to past shows, broadcast schedules, reviews and more. People like to engage and be informed and that is what we do as a station, so that is what we should do as a venue." said Howard Glassman, General Manager of The Linda.
By popular demand, The Linda now offers beer, wine, coffee and snacks. Coffee and snacks are provided through a partnership with local cafe, The Daily Grind. Patrons can now relax in an intimate atmosphere with a beverage and enjoy the show.
"All in all, we feel that by continuing to grow and change as a venue we will continue to attract interesting and desirable acts and increase our audience numbers for shows, film, and special events. Stay tune for more about WAMC on Facebook, Twitter, and on our air. There are some great acts in 2011 soon to be announced." added Graeme McKenna, co-manager of the venue and the point person for web and marketing on the team.
The Linda -- WAMC's Performing Arts Studio is a multi-purpose facility located at the corner of Central Avenue and Quail Street in Albany, New York. The 210-seat performing arts studio hosts a diverse selection of events including concerts, debates, lectures, films, and other activities, many of which will be broadcast throughout WAMC's seven-state listening area and online at wamc.org.
