STAUNTON, VA (09/28/2010)(readMedia)-- That's because it is Golftober at "The Hill". For the first time in the history of the Gypsy Hill Golf Course's 91 years (opened in 1919) there is something unusual going on. It's Golftober, during the entire month of October the City will offer a dollar a hole green fee. Golfers pay $18.00 for 18 holes of play. Eerily, this is nearing 1919 green fee prices (this is a stretch) and this special includes weekdays and weekends. Tee times are required, so please call 540-332-3949. Even the squirrels are scurrying about with excitement over this once in a lifetime deal. If you haven't played "The Hill", now is the time to check out the newly irrigated course with an incredible green fee.
