Thirty-five SUNYIT Athletes Recognized with NEAC Scholar-Athlete Award

Thirty-five SUNYIT student-athletes were recognized by the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) with the conference's Scholar-Athlete award on Monday. The number of Wildcat selections in 2012-13 more than doubles the school's numbers for the past two seasons, in which SUNYIT had 16 NEAC Scholar-Athlete selections. In order to be selected, a student-athlete must achieve a combined grade point average of 3.4 or higher for the fall and spring semesters and must have been in good standing on his or her team. This year, the NEAC is honoring a total of 512 scholar-athletes from its 16 member institutions (3 associate) who represent 26 different states and 17 different countries.
