Three Oglethorpe University volleyball players earn All-SAA honorable mention

Three Oglethorpe volleyball players earned All-SAA (Southern Athletic Association) honorable mention on Dec. 11 as voted by the league's coaches. Junior middle blocker Ta'Korya Green, sophomore outside hitter/setter Emma Williams and freshman outside hitter Jackie Schner all garnered the award. It served as the first career All-SAA award for all three Stormy Petrels.

Green had an excellent year for the Petrels on the front line. She finished fourth in the SAA with 17 solo blocks, and eighth in the league with a .244 hitting percentage and 3.3 points per set. She recorded 230 kills and 61 total blocks.

Williams finished eighth in the SAA with 4.78 assists per set. She also recorded 282 total assists and 48 kills.

Schner made her Petrel debut in 2019 and earned All-SAA honors for her efforts. She tallied 210 kills and 230 digs, putting her in the league's top 20 in both categories.

The Petrels finished 6-20 on the season overall.
