"Thyme" Well Spent For Iowa State Fair Cooking with Herbs Contest Winner

DES MOINES, IA (08/15/2012)(readMedia)-- Beth Seuferer of West Des Moines won First Place Overall in the Herbs in Any Course competition judged Saturday during the 2012 Iowa State Fair.

Entrants were tasked with featuring fresh herbs in a dish from any meal course.

Entries were judged on taste, "wow" factor, originality and presentation.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Blue Bunny.
