Tirefest at Landis Arboretum: Full-Family Workout!

ESPERANCE, NY (08/24/2007)(readMedia)-- Capital Region residents, nature lovers, and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to bring a few tireless friends and work gloves to the Landis Arboretum’s third tire clean-up on Saturday, August 25, between 9 AM - 3 PM. Light lunch provided.

The annual family work day is focused on removing the final load of abandoned tireless from the grounds of Landis, the Capital Region's Arboretum.

Tire disposal funded by Iroquois LEAF of the Iroquois Pipeline Operating Company and implemented through R.J. Valente Companies (Halfmoon, NY).

Charlie Parker, James “Nick” Spath, John Gorsin of "Forestry with Pride" and Smitty's Construction (all of Esperance) also will participate in the Tirefest exorcise along with Cobleskill Lion’s Club president Patrick Donnelly (Lawyersville),nature photographer Bill Combs, Jr, (Cobleskill), and members of the Schoharie River Project, Burtonsville, NY.

The project has moved forward with the help and goodwill of the inmates of the Summit Shock Incarceration facility (Summit, NY) who donated their time and labor at Landis last week.

Tirefest is a labor of love – and fun. Free, of Course!
