Topher Marshall Takes SAA Weekly Offensive Honors

Senior midfielder Topher Marshall of the Oglethorpe men's soccer team has been named the SAA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Stormy Petrels' 3-2 SAA win over Sewanee on Saturday and their 6-0 rout over Brevard on Monday. It marked the third such award for Marshall in his career and the second time in as many weeks that a Petrel has won an SAA weekly award.

Marshall scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute of Oglethorpe's 3-2 SAA victory over Sewanee on Saturday, marking his ninth career game-winning goal. That came after passing out a pair of assists in a 6-0 victory over Brevard on Monday. He finished the week with four total points. For the season, Marshall is tied for fifth in the league with three assists.

He and the rest of the Petrels will take on Washington (Missouri) from Franklin, Tennessee, Monday night at 8 p.m. Eastern. After that, they'll head out on the road in SAA play. They'll take on Millsaps Friday night at 8:30 p.m. Eastern from Jackson, Mississippi, then continue to Alabama to go against Birmingham-Southern Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
