"Two Cans Connected by a String" to be presented by Berkshire Country Day School students
Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2
LENOX, MA (02/20/2013)(readMedia)-- Berkshire Country Day School, an independent school for students in Preschool through Grade Nine, will host three productions of Two Cans Connected by a String Friday, March 1 at 7 pm and Saturday, March 2 at 2 pm and 7 pm at Boston University's Winthrop Theater on West Street in Lenox.
This BCD Upper School winter theater co-curricular production is an original piece. It explores themes of communication; in particular, questioning the research and the opinions regarding the impact social media has had on teenagers. Through improv and research, the ensemble of students in grades 7, 8 and 9 have participated in a creative process that will lead to a fully realized piece of theater. Electronic music students and members of the cast have created original music for the piece. The humorous, thoughtful material offers the audience an opportunity to peek into teenage contemporary social culture. It is directed by BCD's Theater/Film Director Amy Brentano. There is a suggested donation at the door.
