GREENVILLE, PA (03/27/2013)(readMedia)-- Two seniors, Caitlin Ferry and Sheena Johns, have been chosen as the Students of the Month at Thiel College for April 2013.
Caitlin Ferry, a senior communication sciences and disorders major from Brookville, Pa., loves anything to do with language and neurological disorders. A conscientious and versatile student, Ferry is participative, attentive and inquisitive in her classes. She is a member of the Honors program as well as an active member of Sigma Tau Delta honorary, The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association and serves on the Phoenix editorial board. She is also a tutor in the Writing lab, a volunteer at St. Paul's and an active member of her sorority, Sigma Kappa. She plans to pursue a graduate degree in speech language pathology after graduation.
Sheena Johns, a senior psychology and criminal justice major from Worthington, Pa., is able to integrate her classroom learning, research and life experiences and produced work that one of her instructors describes as "graduate level." She demonstrates academic leadership among her fellow students and helps others in her classes. Johns is a member of the Psychology Club, Criminal Justice Club, Habitat for Humanity, Outdoors Club. Alpha Chi honor society and Psi Chi (psychology) honorary.
Students of the Month at Thiel College are selected by faculty vote from among senior students with superior grade point averages.
