Two Chosen as Thiel College Students of the Month for March 2013

GREENVILLE, PA (03/13/2013)(readMedia)-- Two seniors, Shea Maier and Roger Irby, have been chosen as the Students of the Month at Thiel College for March 2013.

Shea Maier, a senior religion and philosophy major from Wellsboro, Pa., is a prepared, engaged student whose varied interests include entrepreneurship, which earned her a Haller Scholarship and a business plan award. Maier is a student worker in the Religion Department and involved with the Environmental Club. She is on the Dean's List and a member of Theta Alpha Kappa (religion honorary). She is a former member of the softball team and loves spending time outdoors. She plans on working after graduation before deciding on a graduate program to pursue in the future.

Roger Irby, a mathematics major from Transfer, Pa., is a member of the Dean's List and the Thiel Christian Fellowship. He consistently strives for excellence in his academic pursuits, actively participating in classroom discussions, offering opinions and advice, and helping other students when needed. He also is involved with athletics, participating in men's tennis, the Rugby Club and track & field.

Students of the Month at Thiel College are selected by faculty vote from among senior students with superior grade point averages.
