HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (09/16/2013)(readMedia)-- Hampden-Sydney College junior Tyler Prescott Parham recently presented his Summer Research Project in a public presentation at the College. Tyler is one of a select group of students who undertake summer research in conjunction with members of the Hampden-Sydney faculty. Each project is evaluated on its originality, on the thoroughness of its research methods, and on the quality of its findings.
Tyler's project was entitled, "Propagandizing Songs: A Historical Analysis of How Chairman Mao Reconstructed Music Before and During the Cultural Revolution." A history major, he is a graduate of Tunstall High School and is the son of Eddy & Lynda Parham of Danville.
