UNG announces high school seniors awarded UNG Military Scholarship

The University of North Georgia (UNG) announces the high school seniors who have been awarded the 2017 UNG Military Scholarship.

Each year, the state of Georgia offers 42 scholarships worth $70,000 over four years to Georgia high school seniors who attend UNG and plan to commission as officers in the Georgia Army National Guard after graduating with bachelor's degrees. The scholarship pays for room, meals, tuition, books, uniforms, and fees. In addition, recipients get National Guard weekend drill pay, GI Bill, pay for attending Army basic and advanced training, and, for those cadets offered a contract to commission as a lieutenant, Army ROTC contract pay at the beginning of sophomore or junior year.
