URI honors seniors at 18th annual Black Scholar Awards

Ten University of Rhode Island seniors were honored for their academic excellence and achievements at the 18th annual Black Scholar Awards Ceremony this spring. Donald Cunnigen, professor of sociology and anthropology at URI and a member of the URI Black Faculty Association, established the awards program in 1998 to recognize and honor outstanding African-American seniors.
