USW's Dominique Haywood of El Paso named RRAC co-player of the week

HOBBS, NM (12/07/2010)(readMedia)-- Dominique Haywood of the University of the Southwest (N.M.) was one of two players who was selected as Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Co-Players of the Week for Nov. 29-Dec. 5.

Tynekqua Warren of Louisiana State University Shreveport was also selected.

Haywood, a senior forward from El Paso, Texas, averaged 17.7 points and 12.7 rebounds per game in a 1-2 week for the Lady Mustangs. She posted a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards in a loss to Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) and soared to 27 points and 16 rebounds in a narrow defeat to Huston-Tillotson University (Texas). Haywood made 21-of-41 field goal attempts (51.2%) for Southwest, which is 1-3 in the RRAC and 3-7 on the season.
