HOBBS, NM (02/09/2011)(readMedia)-- Leslie Dominguez of the University of the Southwest (N.M.) was selected as the Red River Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for games played between Jan. 31-Feb. 6.
Dominguez, a junior catcher/outfielder from El Paso, Texas, went 4-for-8 at the plate for the Lady Mustangs in a double-header split with Panhandle State University (Okla.). She had one hit as USW won the opener, 5-3, before reaching base three times includingwith a pair of doubles and a single in an 8-4 loss. USW started its season at 1-1 after having two other games canceled due to weather.
