FAYETTE, IA (03/02/2018) ChildServe employees and their family members now benefit from a partnership with Upper Iowa University (UIU). As Corporate Advantage Partnership (CAP) program members, ChildServe employees, their spouses and dependent children (under the age of 26) are eligible to receive set tuition grants for courses taken at any of Upper Iowa's 25 U.S. educational centers or through UIU distance education programs. The application fee is also waived for all participants.

"Being a top workplace in Iowa means giving our employees opportunities to learn and grow and further their careers," said ChildServe VP of Human Resources Jay Winger, SHRM-CP. "We are excited to partner with Upper Iowa and provide our staff and their families a reduced rate to achieve a higher education."

UIU, a private, nonprofit university founded in 1857, strives to meet student needs with convenient daytime, evening and online classes. Upper Iowa's unique academic year consists of classes offered during five 8-week sessions and one accelerated 6-week summer session. As a result of these more concentrated sessions, students usually need to take just two to three courses at a time to graduate on schedule. Many students blend their degree plan by taking in-person, online and hybrid (both face-to-face and online) courses.

Other students get a jump on completion by easily transferring in up to 90 college credits from other schools. Up to 12 credits can also be transferred at the graduate level. Credits may also be earned through an individual's work experience through an experiential learning portfolio or various college examinations.

"We are pleased that ChildServe has chosen to partner with our Corporate Advantage Partnership program," UIU Director of Business Development Tyler Walls said. "CAP is a great example of how Upper Iowa helps students of all ages achieve their educational dreams. With over 50 CAP members, UIU continues to offer affordable coursework allowing our students to gain the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their careers."

ChildServe improves the health and well-being of over 4,200 children each year through specialized clinical, home, and community-based programs and services. Their expert staff provide pediatric rehabilitation and care for children and young adults, who have a wide variety of developmental delays, disabilities, acquired injuries, and other special healthcare needs.
