Valerie Martin Receives a Linnaean Award from Gettysburg College

GETTYSBURG, PA (11/01/2010)(readMedia)--  Valerie Martin, a Gettysburg College senior from Narvon, PA, has been awarded a 2010 Linnaean Award. Winners are chosen by peers based on the recipients' efforts to improve the campus community, excellence in academic endeavors, and overall achievements during their college careers.

Martin is majoring in psychology with a minor in philosophy. On campus, she serves as vice president of the Psi Chi Honors Society, a research assistant in the Psychology Department, a college tour guide, and an orientation leader. She is also a member of the Honors Commission and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Her service activities include volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House and participating in Relay for Life.
