Van Manen Breaks Largest Zucchini Record at Iowa State Fair

DES MOINES, IA (08/29/2017) (readMedia)-- It was a record breaking year at the Iowa State Fair for the jumbo vegetable exhibits judged August 15 at the Iowa State Fair.

Emily Van Manen a first time exhibitor of Kellogg set a new record with a 13.4 lb. zucchini. Matthew and Ann Greazel of Boone were awarded with a record breaking cabbage at 33.7 lbs. Robbert Morris of Des Moines brought the record breaking green bean measuring at 53.25 inches long and Marty Schnicker of Mount Pleasant was awarded a record breaking kohlrabi at 28.9 lbs.
