Ventura Resident David Kinnaman to Receive Cultural Impact Award

LA MIRADA, CA (02/25/2014)(readMedia)--  David Kinnaman, Ventura, Calif. resident and president and majority owner of Barna Group, is the winner of the Alumni Cultural Impact Award this year at Biola University. Kinnaman ('96) is a popular speaker on the topics of spiritual trends, teenagers, vocations and callings, and has authored the two bestselling books You Lost Me and unChristian.

Since joining Barna in 1995, Kinnaman has overseen studies that have polled more than 350,000 individuals. He has designed and analyzed nearly 500 projects for a variety of clients, including the American Bible Society, Columbia House, Compassion, Easter Seals, Habitat for Humanity, Integrity Media, InterVarsity, NBC-Universal, the Salvation Army, Sony, Thomas Nelson, Prison Fellowship, World Vision, Zondervan and many others.

He will be honored Friday, Feb. 28, where Biola annually celebrates esteemed alumni at an Alumni Awards Chapel and ceremony. Other awards that will be presented include the Lifetime Achievement Award, Alumni in Media Award, and the Clyde Cook Missions Award.
