SAINT PAUL, MN (06/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Bethel University senior Buddy Flaherty of Victoria, Minn., was awarded his first career MIAC All-Conference selection. He finished the season with a 1.21 ERA (first), with a 4-1 record and six saves (first). His 37.1 innings of relief led the entire conference. Flaherty as hurler struck out 16 batters and allowed just 30 hits, five earned runs, nine walks, and an opposing batting average of .226 throughout his senior year.
On the season, Flaherty ranked tied for 34th throughout the NCAA Division III with six total saves. Furthermore, Flaherty's five earned runs allowed ranks first and his six saves ranks third in Bethel University baseball history.
