WAMC Airs a Pearl Harbor Special on Friday
ALBANY, NY (12/05/2012)(readMedia)-- WAMC Northeast Public Radio will air "As it was: Day of infamy: Pearl Harbor over the radio," on Friday, December 7th at 11 a.m.
WAMC's Dr. Alan Chartock and SUNY Albany Professor Dr. Ivan Steen will guide you through several selections of radio broadcasts that announced the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941.

Dr. Ivan Steen has been on the faculty at the University at Albany for more than 45 years, and currently serves as Vincent O'Leary associate professor of history. He is also the co-director of the center for applied historical research. Dr. Steen has conducted oral history interviews with radio performers from the 40s and 50s and has taught a course on the golden age of radio.
