WAMC'S THE ROUNDTABLE BROADCASTS LIVE FROM TANGLEWOOD
ALBANY, NY (06/30/2015)(readMedia)-- On Wednesday, July 1st, The Roundtable will broadcast live from Tanglewood between 9 a.m. until noon. Alan Chartock, President and CEO of WAMC, and Joe Donahue, host of The Roundtable, will speak with staff from Tanglewood and the Boston Symphony Orchestra as well as other local venues including Jacob's Pillow and Shakespeare & Company.
"I love it when we broadcast from the famous press porch at Tanglewood," says Chartock. "It reminds of me of when I was 16 years old and on my way to Camp Bronx House in Copake, New York. It's beautiful and we get to talk to the most exciting people in the world."
The Roundtable will be speaking to the following guests: Mark Volpe, Managing Director of The BSO; Anthony Fogg, Artistic Administrator of The BSO; Keith Lockhart, Conductor of The Boston Pops; Ellen Highstein, Tanglewood Music Center Director; Jonathan Croy, Seth Gordon, and Taibi Magar from Shakespeare & Company; Tanglewood Opening Night Conductor Jacque Lacombe and more.
"The only thing as exciting as a new Tanglewood season is the opportunity to broadcast from the center of the action. It gives us a wonderful opportunity to spotlight not only Tanglewood and the BSO, but also many other Berkshire jewels. We can do what WAMC does best, celebrate our vibrant community," says Donahue.
The show will broadcast on all WAMC Northeast Public Radio frequencies and will stream live at wamc.org. Pictures will be posted on WAMC's Facebook page and on The Roundtable's Twitter feed.
