ALBANY, NY (03/09/2009)(readMedia)-- WAMC/Northeast Public Radio's flagship morning program, The Roundtable, will broadcast live from the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, MA on Friday, March 13th between 9:00 a.m. and noon.

Scheduled guests include children's book authors Norton Juster, Mo Willems, Jane Yolen, Jeanne Birdsall, and a taped archive interview with Eric Carle, best known for his children's book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. In celebration of Eric Carle's 80th birthday and the 40th anniversary of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the Museum has organized a special exhibition that chronicles both Carle's life and career. Other guests include the museum's Executive Director, Curator and Education Director. The broadcast is open to anyone who pays admission to the museum.

Joe Donahue, host of The Roundtable, says, "I cannot begin to describe how much I have been looking forward to this broadcast. Besides focusing on the gems of the Pioneer Valley, we are spending time with some of the greatest names in children's literature and art. That is a joy, an honor and a delight to share with our audience."

The Roundtable, featuring award-winning journalist Joe Donahue, blends news, arts, culture, and live music. Whether reporting the day's news, interviewing local and national authors, or chatting with fascinating people from around the corner and around the world, The Roundtable has something for everyone as it covers issues ranging from politics, arts, culture, history, the environment and everything in between.
