PADUCAH, KY (05/24/2018) West Kentucky Community and Technical College has named mathematics professor Rhonda Adkins the college's dean of math, science and computer information technology, officials announced today.
"It is such an honor to be appointed as dean of this division. I will be representing an awesome group of faculty and staff from the science, mathematics and computer information technology departments," said the Massac County native who has worked at the college since 1994.
Adkins received both a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in teaching mathematics from Murray State University. She has earned 30 hours beyond her master's degree through completion of graduate level courses in mathematics, computer science and mathematics education from Southern Illinois University, University of Kentucky, Murray State University and Western Kentucky University.
"I am looking forward to working with the deans from other divisions and the WKCTC leadership team as we continue WKCTC's mission under the direction of President Dr. Anton Reece," said Adkins.
