HARTSVILLE, SC (12/15/2011)(readMedia)-- Coker College head women's volleyball coach Todd Caughlin announced that right side hitter Loren Hill has agreed to play volleyball for the Cobras in 2012-13.
A native of Pawley's Island, S.C., Hill will join the Cobras from Waccamaw High School. During her time at Waccamaw, Loren has lettered in volleyball for four years, was a three-time South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) First Team All-Region selection and was named the 2011 Region VII AA Player of the Year. She was a two-time team captain and a two-time Sun News "Toast of the Coast" selection.
She also received All-State honors during the 2011 season as she helped lead Waccamaw to a undefeated season with 153 kills, 41 service aces, 373 assists, 207 digs and 24 blocks.
In addition to her on the court success, Hill has earned several accolades for her work in the classroom, including receiving an Academic Letter for her 4.0 GPA. She is also a member of the Mu Alpha Theta National Math Honor Society.
The Cobras finished the 2011 season with a record of 9-19.
