NORTH CANTON, OH (11/24/2010)(readMedia)-- The Walsh Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) Club was honored nationally on November 5, 2010 at the National CEO Conference in Chicago. Members Michael Thompson Jr. of Cleveland and Jordan Tucker of University Heights were awarded second place for Best Chapter Business Plan for their company, LIFA (Live in Fine Arts), which will showcase the talents and skills of young artists via high-tech interactive digital media. The site would allow users to interact with other artists, while also obtaining information on scholarships, guidelines for working with agencies, etc.
Walsh was among nearly 1,300 students, faculty and entrepreneurs representing more than 110 schools were invited to submit a summary of their business plan for judging that details the chapter's vision, mission, products/services, target markets and financial projections.
CEO provides young entrepreneurs with networking opportunities, chapter activities, and the national conference to help them start their own businesses. The mission of CEO is to inform, support and inspire college students to be entrepreneurial and seek opportunity through enterprise creation. The conference speakers help solidify entrepreneurship into the fabric of universities nationally.
