Waltham resident graduates from Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University

More than 2,900 students graduated from Tufts University on May 17, during the university-wide commencement ceremony with Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick as speaker.

At Tufts' Grafton, Mass., campus, the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine conferred 100 degrees, including Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Master of Public Health, Master of Science in laboratory animal medicine, Master of Science in comparative biomedical sciences and Master of Science in animals and public policy.

Among the graduates from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University was:

Colleen McCarthy, of Waltham, Mass. (02452), Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, daughter of Roberta and Wayne McCarthy, also of Waltham, Mass..

McCarthy will work as an associate at Lexington Veterinary Associates in Lexington, Mass.
