LEXINGTON, VA (04/05/2012)(readMedia)-- Annelise Madison from Roca, Neb., a junior at Washington and Lee University, was awarded the Cullum Owings Memorial Fellowship in April, 2012, when she was a sophomore. It was established in 2003 by family, friends and fellow students of Cullum Owings to celebrate his dedication to W&L and the concept of honor.
The fellowship is awarded annually to a student who is articulate, thoughtful and of outstanding personal integrity. Madison will visit secondary schools and alumni chapters to engage in dialogue on academic integrity and honor systems.
Madison is a Johnson Scholar at W&L and her major is politics. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and is on the varsity cross country and varsity track and field teams. She graduated from Norris High School in Firth, Neb.
