Weed Identification Awards Given at Iowa State Fair

DES MOINES, IA (08/16/2015)(readMedia)-- Iowans tested their knowledge of garden plants in the Weed Identification contest judged Friday at the 2015 Iowa State Fair.

Madelyn DeJong of Montezuma won first place in the Youth class while Matthew Vandehaar of Altoona earned first place in the General class. In the Professional class, Lowell Sandell of Lincoln, Neb. earned first place.
