West Allis Resident Receives Scholarship to Mount Mary College

MILWAUKEE, WI (06/26/2013)(readMedia)-- (MILWAUKEE ) Amanda DiPalma, daughter of Robert and Vicki DiPalma, Milwaukee, and mother of Govanni DiPalma, has been awarded a scholarship by Mount Mary College for the 2013-2014 school year.

Amanda, a 2004 graduate of Shorewood High School, will be a freshman at Mount Mary this fall studying Social Work.

"We're delighted Amanda has selected Mount Mary College to pursue her dream of earning a college degree," Eileen Schwalbach, Ph.D., president of Mount Mary College. "We awarded Amanda a scholarship based on her application, achievements, and outstanding potential. Amanda is an exceptional woman who is focused on her education, has strong leadership skills and believes in Mount Mary's mission of social justice."

Mount Mary College, founded in 1913 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, was Wisconsin's first four-year, degree-granting Catholic college for women. Located on an 80-acre campus in Milwaukee, the College offers more than 30 undergraduate majors for women and eight graduate programs for women and men.
