Wheaton College (Ill.) Chris Szymczak named CCIW Men's Swimmer of the Week

Wheaton senior Chris Szymczak has been tabbed as the CCIW Men's Swimmer of the Week.

It is the second career weekly honor for the nine-time National Qualifier. Szymczk earned a sixth place finish in the 200-yard backstroke at the UChicago Phoenix Fall Classic, finishing with a personal best time of 1:54.51. He also dropped three seconds off his personal best time in the 200-yard Individual Medley, finishing in 1:55.83, a time that ranks 28th nationally. He also led off Wheaton's sixth place 200-yard medley relay team which finished in 1:35.96.
