Wheaton places 17 on the 2019 All-CCIW Football Team; Jake Holaday earned Second Team honors on the defensive line

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its All-Conference football team on Wednesday. Wheaton was well represented with 17 All-CCIW selections, a new school best. Additionally, Wheaton won two special awards. Thunder head coach Mike Swider was named the Bob Reade Coach of the Year and defensive lineman Dallas McRae was named the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year.

Jake Holaday earned Second Team honors on the defensive line. Holaday was third on the team with 38 tackles in conference play, including 18 solo tackles. The junior made 7.5 tackles for loss (-28 yards) in conference play, including 2.5 sacks (-18 yards). He had three quarterback hurries, forced one fumble and recovered a fumble.
