Wheaton's Pardridge Named CCIW Women's Swimmer of the Week

Wheaton freshman Abby Pardridge was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday.

A native of DeKalb, Illinois and Rosary High School, Pardridge had a breakout weekend at the 39th Annual Wheaton Invitational held Friday and Saturday. On one week of rest, she swam lifetime bests in the 50 backstroke (27.46), 100 freestyle (52.95rs), 200 freestyle (1:58.36rs), 100 backstroke (58.84) and 100 butterfly (57.60). She also swam a season-best and CCIW-leading 200 backstroke (2:05.33), which was Pardridge's second-best time of her career. She now leads the CCIW in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 100 butterfly. Her 100 backstroke is fifth all time in Wheaton history, while her 100 butterfly is sixth all time, and her 200 backstroke is fourth all time.
