Wheaton's Rinne wins second CCIW Men's Swimmer of the Week honor

Wheaton junior Will Rinne won his second College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Swimmer of the Week honor on Tuesday.

A native of Plymouth, Massachusetts and the American Community School of Abu Dhabi, Rinne set a new lifetime best in the 400-yard IM during a double dual meet versus Augustana and North Central on Saturday. His time of 4:05.05 is ranked 45th in the nation and is fourth all-time in program history. Rinne also swam a CCIW-leading 100-yard butterfly, clocking a time of 49.54, which is only 0.2 seconds off of an NCAA "B" cut and 0.5 seconds off of his own school record. His time is also ranked 31st in the nation.
