Wilkes University Associate Professor Kimberly Ference Elected to Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association Educational Foundation Board

WILKES-BARRE, PA (02/06/2018) Wilkes University's Kimberly Ference, associate professor of pharmacy practice in the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy was elected to the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association Educational Foundation Board. She will serve for a three year term. The foundation is a complementary organization to the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association.

The Educational Foundation was founded in 1997 as a public, charitable foundation. Its mission is to invest in the future of pharmacy by fostering research and education and advancing innovative pharmacy practice and patient care.

Ference received her doctor of pharmacy degree from Wilkes University. She completed a primary care in conjunction with Wilkes-Barre Veterans Affairs and Wyoming Valley Family Medicine in Kingston. After residency training, Ference held a position as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa, Okla. Her current clinical practice site is at the Volunteers in Medicine clinic in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Founded in 1878, the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association is a professional membership organization of more than 2,300 pharmacists and pharmacy students across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, representing almost all facets of pharmacy practice.
