William Woods University's Green Owl Award goes to Tammy Boehm

FULTON, MO (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Tammy Buschman Boehm of St. Louis, Mo., was awarded the Green Owl Award during William Woods University's Alumni Weekend. The award is presented to alumni who have given years of service to the alumni association and the university.
Boehm earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in home economics from William Woods in 1976, with minors in business and costume design. As a student, she was Alpha Phi pledge class and chapter president, on the Dean's List and Achievement List and a member of Delta Rho home economics honorary.
She has continued her involvement with WWU by serving on the Alumni Association Board of Directors 2003-2009 and the alumni board advisory committee 2009-2010. She has created the Alumni Weekend centerpieces for six years.
Boehm has co-hosted a St. Louis alumni gathering in her home and assisted the admissions office by hosting the "Senior Send-Off" in her home.
She has been a generous contributor to the Imagine Campaign, and, along with sorority sisters Sally Frank and Cindy Logan, has been granted naming rights for a bedroom in the new Alpha Phi house in Sorority Circle.
Boehm's daughter, Carson, is a student at William Woods and a member of Chi Omega.
