Yakima native Ethan Maier receives award upon graduation from Whitman College

WALLA WALLA, WA (06/05/2013)(readMedia)-- Ethan Maier of Yakima, Wash. was honored with an award upon his graduation from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.

Maier was selected as the recipient of the David Campbell Award for Outstanding Senior Recitalist of the Year.

In addition to receiving this award, Maier was elected as a new member of the Whitman chapter national research society Sigma Xi. This honor is given to students who have completed original research in either the pure or applied sciences. Whitman's Sigma Xi chapter was established in 1962.

Maier is a 2009 graduate of Davis High School. He received a B.A. in Biology and Music during the Whitman College commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 19.
