Yorkvilles's Luke Gilbertson receives D3baseball.com Midwest All-Region honors

AURORA, IL (05/20/2013)(readMedia)-- D3baseball.com announced the 2013 Baseball All-Region Teams and the Aurora University Spartan baseball team had two players selected to the three Midwest All-Region teams, including senior relief pitcher Luke Gilbertson of  Yorkville (Yorkville, Ill,./Yorkville H.S.).

Gilbertson was named to Second-Team All-Region as a relief pitcher. On the season, he had a 2-0 record with five saves and a 0.00 earned run average. In 10 appearances out of the AU bullpen, he allowed one unearned run, struck out 17 and allowed nine hits in 13-1/2 innings pitched.

The AU baseball team finished the 2013 season with a 25-13 overall record and a 17-5 Northern Athletics Conference record.
