Zachary Ehrlich Finalist in Pitch Competition at Austin Film Festival Screenwriter's Conference

BOSTON, MA (11/05/2012)(readMedia)-- Chappaqua's Zachary Ehrlich, a Writing for Film and TV major at Emerson College, was a finalist in the pitch competition of the Austin Film Festival Screenwriter's Conference for his comedy script "Ben Faces Adversity."

Ehrlich was one of 21 Emerson students to attend the conference October 18 through 25. Emerson alum Stephen Scaia and his writing partner Matt Federman joined the students. Scaia and Federman's credits include the TV series Jericho and Warehouse 13 and the films Zoro and Y: The Last Man.

The festival boasts numerous speakers, panels, workshops and film screenings. This was the sixth consecutive year Emerson has taken a group of students to the conference.
