WINFIELD, KS (09/29/2011)(readMedia)-- Southwestern College senior football player Zak Tazkargy, Wellington, has been selected Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row by the Kansas College Athletic Conference.
Tazkargy is a graduate of Wellington High School.
Tazkargy accumulated 29 total tackles during Southwestern's 31-3 loss at Sterling College. He recorded 18 solo tackles and assisted on 11 others.
The Southwestern College football team will be in action again this Saturday in Richard L. Jantz Stadium at 6 p.m., as the Moundbuilders take on Haskell Indian Nations University. For more information and up-to-date results, go to www.buildersports.com.
