PATCHOGUE, NY (09/19/2008)(readMedia)-- Today, Lee Zeldin, Republican and Conservative Party candidate for New York's First Congressional District proudly announced another major veteran's-group endorsement from the National Vietnam and Gulf War Veterans Coalition.

"The Coalition board was recently polled and [Lee's] positions on veterans' issues and on issues pertaining to the security of the United States and the safety of its citizens were evaluated," said John J. Molloy, the Coalition's Chairman. "The board was very impressed. Consequently, the board is proud to endorse Lee Zeldin's election to the United States House of Representatives."

Zeldin was very grateful when he heard the news.

"While my opponent continues to claim support for the troops while appeasing his left-wing leadership and handful of liberal supporters, my priorities remain focused and clear," said Zeldin. "First and foremost, this campaign is about the troops. Supporting them with what they need in the field and ensuring they're taken care of when they come home."

Vets for Freedom is another veterans organization which had previously announced their support for Zeldin's candidacy.
