Zeldin Releases Innovative Virtual Town Hall Meeting
Promises Broad Discussion, Transparency, Integrity During Online Forums
MASTIC, NY (03/25/2008)(readMedia)-- Showcasing a commitment to communication with the hardworking people of Eastern Long Island, the endorsed Republican candidate for New York’s First Congressional District will host weekly virtual town hall meetings at 12:30 every Tuesday afternoon at www.zeldin08.com.
Staying true to his campaign’s commitment to transparency, candidate Lee Zeldin promises to cover a wide range of issues currently impacting Eastern Long Island.
“I will discuss the core platform of our campaign,” said Zeldin, “that is to say, addressing Long Island’s unreasonably high cost of living, strengthening our national security, securing our borders, and better assisting senior citizens and military veterans.”
“As an Army officer, I learned that integrity and willingness to listen are the core qualities of a successful leader,” continued Zeldin. “I’m excited to share what’s on my mind and facilitate a meaningful discussion of Long Island’s challenges and solutions.”
After the conclusion of every town hall, the meeting will be archived and available on the website’s audio/video gallery.
Zeldin served as an aide to State Senator Kenneth P. LaValle. The Shirley resident studied at the University at Albany, graduated from Albany Law School, and earned his commission through Army ROTC. He was a paratrooper, prosecutor and magistrate with the 82nd Airborne Division and XVIII Airborne Corps. In the summer of 2006, he was a JAG attorney deployed to Iraq. He is currently an attorney at Raiser & Kenniff on Long Island.
