Comedian with Tourette Syndrome to Perform at Lebanon Valley College

ANNVILLE, PA (09/02/2011)(readMedia)-- Samuel Comroe shares his hilarious and insightful stories of his life with Tourette syndrome, coming from a large family, and experiencing the trials and tribulations of the life of a young comic in a free performance at Lebanon Valley College. The show will be held Friday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. in Leedy Theater.

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, in a family of nine, Comroe grew up in a loud, raucous, and fun-loving environment. After being diagnosed with Tourette syndrome, he suffered his fair share of teases and taunts from peers who didn't understand his condition. But Comroe made a conscious decision to not let bullying affect him, and instead to laugh along with the bullies.

Later, when beginning his stand-up career, Comroe cultivated his unique brand of observational and self-deprecating humor, focusing on his life with Tourette syndrome. He has long since left his humble beginnings and has been entertaining thousands of people at famous venues such as The Ice House, The Improv, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Store.

The Friday Night Comedy Series continues with free shows on Sept. 30, Oct. 14, and concludes Nov. 18 with the End of the Year BASH! featuring comedian and Cash Cab star Ben Bailey.
