HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (04/12/2011)(readMedia)-- Hampden-Sydney College senior Edward Allen Krohn (center) recently received the Military Leadership/National Security Studies Program Certificate from Lt. Col. Rucker Snead, Assistant Director of the ML/NSS Program (left) and Dr. Christopher B. Howard, President of Hampden-Sydney College (right). Hampden-Sydney's Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest initiated the program in the Spring of 2005 for students interested in the historical, political, cultural, ethical, and legal dimensions of national security policy as well as the place and role of the military in American society.

Eddie served as a staff writer for the student newspaper, The Hampden-Sydney Tiger, and as an Admissions Office tour guide (Garnet & Grey Society). He is a member of the H-SC Men's Chorus, the President's Men, Habitat for Humanity, the Madisonian Society, the International Club, the Committee on Elections and Student Surveys, and the professional scientific fraternity Alpha Chi Sigma. After graduation, Eddie will serve as a Reserve Corps 2nd Lieutenant with a U.S. Army Medical Services team while also working as a financial analyst with Chick-Filet and studying to take the Medical School admissions exam. A biology and religion major, Eddie graduated from Warwick High School and is the son of Wesley & Julie Krohn of Newport News.
