SCRANTON, PA (06/14/2012)(readMedia)-- Emily Grace Rainey, Mechanicsburg, was among the 65 students honored by The University of Scranton during its undergraduate Class Night ceremony. The Jesuit university awarded outstanding members of the Class of 2012 for academic achievement and service.
Rainey received the Military Science Leadership Award. She earned a bachelor of science, cum laude, in philosophy with a double minor in leadership and Arabic.
Rainey was secretary of the Phi Sigma Tau Honor Society and a member of the 2012 Class Committee and the President's Alumni Liaison Society.
Rainey will commission into the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant, Military Intelligence Officer at Fort Carson, Colorado Fourth Infantry Division.
She graduated from Mechanicsburg High School, Mechanicsburg.
